In a tightly contested matchup in the “hive” Friday night, the Jets were able to come away victorious in last second fashion as junior Gabe Sargent knocked down a triple try with 3.5 seconds remaining in the game. The back and forth contest had Bethel leading by 1 at the intermission 21-20. Down by as many as 4 in the final minute, the Jets were able to knock down a couple free throws and convert off of a Bethel missed free throw to close the deal. A last second attempt by the Bees would fall short as time expired. FM moves to 2-1 overall, 2-0 in the CCC. The Jets return to action Saturday 12/19 vs Covington in their first home contest of the season.
